Association Board Members Present Graduation Awards to Midshipman 1/C Madeline Smith and Midshipman 1/C Jacob Marvell.

The Alumni Association presented two awards.  The LCDR Jack Wintle Award goes to an exceptional senior Navy Option and the General Robert H. Barrow Award goes to an outstanding senior Marine Option. Tim Huete, Alumni Association President, and Gregory Kahn, Treasurer, were at the ceremony to present these deserving midshipmen with the honors.

The Wintle Award went to Midshipman 1/C Madeline Smith. She hails from Louisville, Kentucky and will graduate from Tulane University with a degree in Economics. She is looking forward to a career in aviation and becoming a pilot. As part of the unit she enjoyed being the Physical Training Instructor. Her fondest memories of New Orleans are of the food and the dancing.

The Barrow Award went to Midshipman 1/C Jacob Marvell. He hails from Colorado, Maryland and will graduate from Tulane University with a degree in Marketing. He will head to The Basic School in Quantico, Virginia after commissioning. He cites his time as the Battalion Sergeant Major as his best Naval ROTC memory. He loved participating in Mardi Gras, and riding on a float in Bacchus was his best New Orleans moment.
