Semester Commissionings
The Tulane University Naval Reserve Officer Trying Corps held two end of semester commissionings this year. Both ceremonies took place in the Navy Building on the campus of Tulane University. Three men were commissioned Second Lieutenants for the United States Marine Corps. Event dates were Thursday, January 6, 2022 and Friday, July 8, 2022.
Jack Edward-Florian Jablonski hails from Arizona. Mr. Jablonski enrolled at Tulane University. His extracurricular activities included coaching as the defensive coordiantor for the Brother Martin J.V. Lacrosse team, and serving as the Assistant Director of Undergraduate Student Government Student Safety Committee. His billets in the Midshipman Battalion have included Squad Leader, Platoon Sergeant, Platoon Commander, and Midshipman Battalion Commander. He received the McCarter Award. Mr. Jablonski is service assigned as a Marine Corps Ground Officer and will report to the Basic School in Quantico, Virginia.

Evan Pierce McCollum hails from Louisiana. He graduated from Tulane University. During his time in the Tulane NROTC unit, Midshipman McCollum served as a Squad Leader, N-1 Administrative Officer, and Platoon Commander. He received the Marine Corps Association Award of Merit. 2nd Lt McCollum successfully completed Officer Candidates School and will return to Quantico, Virgina to attend The Basic School in October. He was given his Oath of Office by Capt. D Pintos.
