Don Vinci (1979) and John McGaha (1970) were on the board for the 2022 Tulane Engineering Forum.  Held in person for the first time in several years, it was a success.  Several TUNROTC alumni also attended the event which featured speakers, information, and provided PDHs.

Lisa Pardue Cooper (2004) was a speaker at Tulane’s Women Making Waves 2022.

David Berger (1981), Commandant of the Marine Corps, was awarded an Honorary Doctor of Humane Letters at the Tulane Unified Commencement Ceremony.  General Berger was also the honored guest and gave the commissioning oath at the Tulane Joint Commissioning Ceremony.

Commissionings 2022

I, do solemnly swear that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same that I take this obligation freely without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion and that I will well and faithfully discharge the duties of the office on which I am about to enter so help me God.

Twelve men and women were commissioned for the United States Navy and the United States Marine Corps. Three new officers graduated from Xavier University of Louisiana, one from Dillard University, and eight from Tulane University.   There were five Marine Corps commissions and seven Navy commissions; four of which were service placed to the surface warfare community, two to flight school, and one to the submarine community.
